Wyatt Ernest Huhta

April 26, 2001 — August 3, 2023

Wyatt Ernest Huhta, age 22, tragically left this life to sing with the angels on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND following complications from a brain bleed. In his final moments, Wyatt was surrounded by his loving parents, siblings, and two of his friends. Wyatt was born on April 26th, 2001, at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena, MN to Stephen and Nancy (Ylioja) Huhta. God saw fit to have Wyatt join their family and blessed all with his presence. Already as a young child, his family and those around him got to witness and enjoy his fun-loving personality, witty humor, always-ready smile, and contagious laughter. That personality carried through with him his entire life, and Wyatt will forever be remembered for those traits. Wyatt attended church at the Laestadian Lutheran Church in Menahga, MN, and after moving to Williston, he attended church at the Laestadian Lutheran Church of Williston. Faith was always an important part of both his family and personal life. Wyatt loved participating in youth camps and music camps each summer as a young boy, and later as a counselor, bringing joy to his life and to those he served. He enjoyed singing bass in choir at church and quickly learned his various parts. He would willingly help anyone in whatever was needed. Wyatt went to Sebeka Public School and graduated with honors in May of 2019. During his school years, Wyatt was inducted as a member of the National Honor Society and enjoyed knowledge bowl, wood shop classes, singing in choir, and playing trumpet in Mr. K’s band from 5th grade through graduation. While in school, he worked for a time at Providence Villa in Sebeka, MN. After graduation, Wyatt enjoyed his final summer off. In the fall, he moved to Williston, ND to explore life away from the comforts of home. In September of 2019, he started working with his uncle Pete doing construction. In June of 2020, Wyatt began his employment with Tanner Collette at Xcel automation & electric, where he started work and school as an apprentice electrician, pursuing his dream of a journeyman license and a career in the electrical field, and continued with Twin Peaks Electric until the time of his passing. Wyatt’s fun personality carried into his work. His ability to have a good time regardless of what he was doing helped him and his coworkers work through each project they faced with laughs and a smile. Wyatt loved the yearly family week at Breezy Point each May, golf and ski outings, board games, hunting with his brothers and friends, and the traditional deer hunt with the Juntunen family. Wyatt was especially proud to have two worthy mounts on the wall at the boy’s place in Williston. Wyatt loved to disc golf and just a few days before his passing, won the annual Sebeka disc golf tournament while as he stated, not having his best game. Wyatt loved pretty much anything involving other people where he could laugh, joke around, and enjoy life. Wyatt is survived by his parents Stephen and Nancy of Sebeka, MN; his siblings: Carter, Blake, and Brock, all of Williston, ND; Kaitlyn of Monticello, MN; and Shaina and Wade of Sebeka, MN; nephew Lane; grandparents Melvin and Joyce (Simonson) Ylioja of Outlook, SK; nineteen aunts and uncles; and one-hundred forty-six cousins.
