Waneta Jo Wanous

Waneta Wanous, age 55 of Nimrod, Mn passed away peacefully on September 17th, 2023 at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena, Mn. Waneta was born on March 24th 1968, in Park Rapids, Mn to Charles and Ione Lind. She graduated from Menahga High School. After graduation she worked many different jobs. She was united in marraige to Ronald Wanous in May of 1992. They were blessed with a child, Holden. Waneta loved animals, crafting and worked hard on the farm tending cattle and growing vegetables to sell. She is survived by her son Holden Wanous. Brothers- Mark (Lola), Frankie (Stacey), Michael (Trina), Mitchell (7) (Emily). Sister- Kim (Paul) Dumpprope. Many nieces and nephews. 5 step-children, multiple step-grandchildren and great grand-children. Waneta was preceded in death by her husband Ron, a son, Levi, her parents and sister, Janet.A celebration of life will be held at the Nimrod Hall on October 8th, with a luncheon from 1pm-4pm. Inurnment will be at Shell City Cemetery following the luncheon.
