Taner Scott Berttunen

Our brave, charismatic, funny, humble, kind, and beautiful Son and Brother passed away on Saturday August 3rd 2019 at the age of 26 years, 7months,and 27 days. Born to us Randy and Jacqueline on December 7th 1992. Taner was dedicated to Christian Faith to God February 27th 1993. Did he know he was a teacher ? In 26 short years our beloved Taner taught us so much about Faith, Family, unconditional love, friendship, laughter and kindness that we will forever be grateful that God gave him to us. And this is how he lived. As a child Taner was our busy boy that’s for sure,motorcycles, auto shoppers,and his love of animals were a few of his favorite things; that is until the day he became a big brother to Trent, from that day forward he had his confidant, his riding buddy, his fishing partner and his true Best Friend. A few of Taner’s hobbies included riding dirt bikes, hunting, fishing and being with family and friends and being the awesome man he was. You could see his love of life by the way it shined through his eyes and his smile oh that smile. Taner graduated from Menahga high school in 2011. After graduation he moved to Coon Rapids where he attended college at Anoka Ramsey, worked at Menards and for UPS. Then later he returned to Menahga and worked for his grandparents at Menahga Concrete Products. As a prideful driver. He worked hard at everything he did so he made it easy to be proud of him. Taner is survived by his parents Randy and Jacqueline, Brother Trent of Menahga. Grandparents Wilma Rousu and Bob and Linda Berttunen all of Menahga. God parents Jordan and Shirley Torma and Terry and Cheryl Berttunen of Menahga. Aunts and Uncles Donald (Colleen) Berttunen, Roxanne Ballis (Dan), Terry (Rita) Rousu, Wynne (Steve) Howlett, Cenia (Tim) Ballis, Lila (Brent) Freeman. Numerous cousins whom he cherished, and All who called him Friend. Taner is proceeded in Death by his Grandfather Durward Sonny Rousu, uncle Randy Rousu, great grandparents Edna and Robert Berttunen, William and Cenia Rousu, Oscar Lindamann, Adele Stiles, and Oliver and Margaret Uttermark. All the love you left behind, forever will live on and so until we meet again, Rest Peacefully, our dear Son. We love you as big as the sky....Always Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Friday, August 9, 2019 at First English Lutheran Church in Menahga, MN. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 10, 2019 at First English Lutheran Church in Menahga, MN.
