Steven David Bennett

Steven (Steve) David Bennett, age 76, of Sebeka, MN, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at home with his family by his side. 

Steve was born on March 7, 1948, to Cecil and Josephine (Janikowski) Bennett in Winona, MN. After Steve graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School in 1966 in Waseca, MN, he joined the Army and served from 1967 to 1969. After discharged, he graduated from Mankato Voc-Tech in 1971. He worked at Lockheed Martin for 33 years as an Engineering Technician. He was the proud father of three children.

He met Connie (Stephenson) Claflin and was married on September 29, 2006, Apple Valley, MN. He lived in Apple Valley, MN and then Sebeka, MN. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. He enjoyed spending winters in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Steve is survived by his wife, Connie Bennett of Sebeka, MN; Former wife, Karen Bennett; children: JoAnn (Tony) Cudo, David (Becky) Bennett, Julie (Beau) Barbeau; brothers: Dean (Lisa) Bennett and John (Audrey) Bennett; five wonderful grandchildren: Ava, Kaitlyn, Evrett, Ryan, and Ethan; special family friends Trent and Samantha Walter and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Josephine (Janikowski) Bennett; nephew, Nicholas Bennett.

 A celebration of Steve’s Life will be held at a later date.
