Ruth Helen Samuelson

Ruth Helen Samuelson, age 86, of Menahga, MN died Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga.   Ruth was born to Benjamin and Sophia (Nevala) Samuelson on January 6, 1932 in Paddock Township, Ottertail County, MN. Ruth attended grade School at dist 216 in Ottertail County. She was a graduate of Sebeka High School Class of 1950. Ruth attended Bemidji State teachers college graduating in 1952. She taught second grade for two years in Henning, MN. She later worked in various offices in Minneapolis. She moved to Wadena, MN and lived in Humphrey Manor prior to entering Green Pine Acres Nursing Home on March 31, 2004.   She was a Member ofFirst Apostolic Lutheran Church in Sebeka, MN.   Ruth is survived by her brother Harry Samuelson and his wife Audrey of Menahga, MN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, brothers, Walter, Arnold, Arthur, and Raymond and sisters, Alina, Pearl, Sylvia, Florence, and Irene.   Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at First Apostolic Lutheran Church in Sebeka, MN with visitation two hours prior to the service at the Church. Interment will be at Red Eye Cemetery in Wadena County.
