Raymond John Lehner

Raymond John Lehner was born on May 16, 1951 in Wadena, Minnesota. His parents were the late Ophelia (Blanchard) and Ernest Lehner. Ray graduated from Sebeka High School with the class of 1969. Ray married Brenda Olson on June 2, 1973 at Nimrod Lutheran Church in Nimrod, Minnesota. They were married for 25 years and their marriage was blessed with two sons, Ryan and Rory. Ray and Brenda enjoyed traveling for Ray’s work to several different states and eventually settled on the Lehner farmstead near Nimrod, Minnesota. Ray enjoyed boating, farming, hunting and spending time with family and friends. He was known by many for his kind and giving nature, always willing to help others. Ray had various professional endeavors including working constructions for a number of years, running a dairy farm at the Lehner farmstead, and more recently working at RDO in Park Rapids where he retiring in May of this year (2021). In his later years, Ray enjoyed spending his free time watching sports, visiting his sons, and farming with his brother Calvin. He was proud to be a grandpa and was often roped into playing dolls with Olivia during Sunday coffee. On June 13, 2021, Ray passed away. Ray was 70 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding Ray in death were his parents, Ophelia and Ernest; and brother, Clyde Lehner. Ray is survived by his two sons, Ryan (Megan) Lehner, Rory Lehner; granddaughter Olivia Lehner; brother Calvin Lehner; and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on 11:00 AM Friday, June 25, 2021 at Sebeka United Methodist Church in Sebeka, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Church. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery.
