Patricia Ann George

Patricia Ann George (nee DeMaris), age 90 of Park Rapids, MN passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 17, 2021. Patricia was born on June 15, 1931 in Osage, MN. She graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1951. On September 29, 1951 she was united in marriage to Arnold George and they were blessed with 5 children. Patricia and Arnold moved to Hibbing after they were married and lived there for the next 40 years. She worked tirelessly at various jobs such as seamstress, dietary aide, bus driver and cabin cleaner. After her and Arnold retired they moved back to Park Rapids where they lived out the rest of their days. Pat was known for her love of family, dancing and making pies. She loved the Lord and worshiping with her church family. We will cherish the time and memories we shared with her and she will live in our hearts forever. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Arnold, granddaughter Tara, parents Henry and Ethel DeMaris and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children; Beverly (Dennis) Wright of Osage MN, Connie Akins of Park Rapids, MN, Randy (Diane) George of Park Rapids, MN, Pamela (Jeffrey) Howard of Burnsville, MN and Thomas (Tracy) George of Punta Gorda, Florida, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and her little dog Precious. Pat came from a family of 16 brothers and sisters and is survived by sisters Joyce Bruhn, Marlene Anderson and Janice Hensel and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Park Rapids Assembly of God Church in Park Rapids, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
