Patricia A. Daugherty

On Tuesday August 27, 2019 at Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga, MN. Patricia (Pat) Daugherty peacefully left this earth to be embraced in the arms of Our Lord.   Pat was born to Clive and Gladys Allen, July 29, 1942 in Prairie du Chin, WI. Pat and Kenneth (Ken) were married on November 17th, 1962 at the United Methodist Church, Renville MN. They were each other’s lifelong best friends.  She was an active Member of the Red Hat Women’s Society and Methodist Women’s Club.  Pat and Ken loved to play bingo at the Menahga Community Senior Center and go for rides around the lakes and woods. Anyone who met her could count on fond memories of laughter and lively discussions.  Pat loved gardening; there was not a flower she did not treasure.   Pat enjoyed decorating for the seasons, but her passion was Christmas Time.  Not a room missed out of her love of spreading the joy of the holidays of Our Savior’s birth. Pat was preceded in death by her Father Clive Dale Allen, Mother Gladys Marie Allen, 3 brothers Robert Allen, Clive Allen and George Allen, and three of her sisters: Mary Louise Allen, Elaine Johnson, and Barbara Reetz.   Pat is survived by her loving husband Kenneth Daugherty, their children Michael (Julie) Daugherty of New London, and Rosemarie (Todd) Tharaldson of St. Michael; her granddaughters AnneMarie Hall (Michael) of Waconia and Katherine Daugherty of Minneapolis; and her great granddaughter Luna Marie Hall of Waconia.  She is also survived by her sisters Glady Murphy (Tom) of Menahga and Shirley Lendborg (Ralph) of Phoenix, AZ and lots of loving nieces and nephews.   Her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter brought Pat and Ken tremendous amounts of pride and joy.   The Daugherty family wants to thank each of you for being a part of Pat and Ken’s life. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the Sebeka United Methodist Church in Sebeka, MN with visitation two hours prior at the church. Inurnment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Renville, MN at a later date.
