Mary Lou (Goble) McDonald, age 78, of Sebeka, MN passed away September 13, 2018 at Lakewood Hospital in Staples, Minnesota, following a long battle with Alzheimers. Mary Lou was born in Lyons Township, Wadena County to Lloyd and Dorothy Goble.  She attended country school District 31 North and later attended and graduated from Sebeka High School in 1957.  Mary Lou was united in marriage to Wilbur McDonald on February 23, 1957. Wilbur and Mary Lou spent their entire lives living in rural Sebeka. Together they raised 3 children; Sandra, Rhonda and Steve. Along with dairy farming, they also raised beef cattle, pigs and other farm animals.  Mary Lou enjoyed picking blueberries, playing cards with friends and family, and always had amazing vegetable and flower gardens.Mary Lou is survived by her sisters; Deloris Taylor and Shirley Schulz; daughters: Sandra Johnson of Bulverde, TX; Rhonda Robberstad (Bill) of Monticello, MN; son Steve (Kathy) of Eagan, MN. Mary Lou is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Dustin Hoefs, Eric Johnson, Katie Gisch, Andrew McDonald, Emily McDonald, Courtney Johnson, Kelsey Johnson, Jake Robberstad, Matthew McDonald, Michael McDonald, Joe Robberstad and six great-grandchildren Lane, Brynna and Gianna Hoefs, Lila and Adam Johnson, and Brayden Coufal.   Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Dorothy Goble, her husband Wilbur McDonald, and her brothers Melvin, James and Wallace Goble As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to The Alzheimer’s Association 7900 West 78th Street, Suite 100 Minneapolis, MN 55439 Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 6 2018 at Sebeka United Methodist Church in Sebeka, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at West Lyons Cemetery at a later date.
