Marion White Jr

November 20, 1940 — February 21, 2018

Marion White, Jr., age 77, of Trail, MN, and formerly of the New York Mills/Sebeka area, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 21st, while ice fishing with a friend. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday, February 28th at the Carlin Funeral Home in Fosston. Funeral services take place on Friday, March 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at the Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka, MN with Pastor Loren Ferch officiating. Interment will be in Hillview Cemetery, rural Sebeka. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the service on Friday at Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka. Military honors will be provided by the National Guard Honors Team. Arrangements are with the Carlin Funeral Home of Fosston and Wevley Funeral Home of Sebeka. Messages of condolence may be sent atwww.carlinfuneral.com orwww.wevleyfuneralhome.com.   Marion Harold White, Jr. was born on November 20, 1940 in Aredale, Iowa to parents Marion and Wilma Bobst White and was the oldest of five children.   In 1954 he moved with his parents to a farm near Butler, Minnesota. He graduated from New York Mills High School in 1959. Marion served in the United States Army from 1959 until 1961. After receiving his honorable discharge, he worked in various agricultural jobs, eventually farming full-time in Iowa. He was united in marriage to Kandys Borneman on March 9, 1969. From this union, they were blessed with one daughter, Laurie.   Marion and Kandys moved from Iowa to Minnesota in 1973 where they dairy farmed for 27 years in New York Mills and Sebeka, Minnesota. Marion and Kandys have resided in Trail, Minnesota for the past 10 years.   Marion enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially his many fishing trips to Canada. He was an avid reader and enjoyed researching things on the internet. He loved nature and being outdoors. He had many friends that he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visiting with often.   He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Kandys; daughter, Laurie (Wade) Burrack; three grandsons, William, Isaac, and Ford Burrack; three siblings, Janet (Roger) Bajumpaa, Dennis (Stacie) White, and Denise (Wesley) Borneman; sister-in-law, Joyce White and many nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents; brother James White; and niece, Pamela White Aukes.   Honorary Pallbearers: His many friends. Pallbearers will be his nephews: Don Bajumpaa, Tony White, Peter White, Andy Borneman, Paul Borneman, Mike White, and Jake White.
