Irene Dorothy Kuha

Irene Dorothy Kuha, age 88, of Eagle Bend, Minnesota passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Lakewood Care Center, Staples, MN. Irene was born April 19, 1930 in Meadow Township, Wadena County, Minnesota to Eino and Eva (Hillstrom) Lake. Irene attended Dist. 39 School and Sebeka High School.  Irene was a member of Meadow Apostolic Lutheran Church and Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church in Menahga, MN.  She married Ernest Kuha on December 3, 1949. Irene enjoyed embroidering on flour sack towels, baking Sally Ann cookies, and selling at craft fairs.  Irene worked at Wesley and Bertha Hospitals. The family would like to thank Dr. Halfen for his wonderful care of Irene. Also, the family is beyond grateful to the team at the Lakewood Care Center for their loving care of Irene for nearly nine years. Irene is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest Kuha, granddaughter Jaana Adamson, sister Violet Maxwell, nephew Preston Maxwell, Jr. She is survived by her children: Kathy (Leonard) Adamson, New Hope, MN; Gerald Kuha, Eagle Bend, MN; Connie Kuha, Eagle Bend, MN.  Grandchildren Daniel (Carolyn) Adamson, Blaine, MN; Janelle Adamson Crossfield, Maple Grove, MN; Krista Adamson, New Hope, MN. Great granddaughters Isabelle and Madelyn Adamson, Blaine.  Niece Sharleen Maxwell. Niece Dawn Maxwell (John), great niece Alysha Maxwell; great great nieces Kiyanne and Mckenna Maxwell, all of Wadena, MN. Many relatives, friends, and a host of brothers and sisters in faith. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at 12pm at the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church of Menahga, MN. Visitation will take place in the hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Meadow Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery.
