Gregory David Anderson, age 63, of Menahga, Minnesota passed away peacefully at his home Friday, May 1, 2020. Due to current gathering restrictions his memorial service will be held on a later date. T.B.D. Gregory David Anderson was born August 9, 1956 to Peter and Kathleen Anderson in Montevideo, Minnesota. After graduating from Montevideo High school, he went on to Bemidji State University to get his Associate degree in music. He also served in the National Guard. He married his wife Michelle and moved to Minneapolis and worked there for a few years and had a son, Matthew Anderson. Later, he moved to Alexandria and had his daughter Rebecca Anderson. Throughout his career, he was a musician, carpenter, writer, publicist, technical producer, and wrote several books and loved to paint and create. In 1998 he moved to Hubbard where he was self-employed. He was creative in all arts, and was currently known for crafting a life size Star Wars X-Wing fighter aircraft, which was published in Minneapolis tribune and local forums. He created and produced a community TV program MSV/ctv station for 15 years. He wrote and published a science fiction series, Panther and Giraffe, Galaxy Trader, and Return to Greenlee. His books could be purchased online through Amazon and Barnes and Noble, each had a special dedication to his children and grandchildren. He painted detailed pictures of trains, towns and architecture. His carpentry and engineering skills were used in his jobs and artistic expressions. He wanted to create then tackle a new project immediately after. Greg was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He was most recently employed at Lakes Area Co-op in Menahga. He is survived by his son Matthew Anderson of Pennsylvania, and daughter Rebecca (Anderson) Kimberling of Nevada. Both active Air Force Military Service. Grandchildren; Samantha, James, Vanessa, and Jonathan and two great grandchildren. Brother Stephan Anderson of Duluth, MN, and special significant other, Martha Renneberg and her family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Kathleen Anderson, and his brother Brad Anderson
