Florence May Odland

Florence May Odland was born on April 01, 1949 in Park Rapids, Minnesota, to Rufus and Lillian Patson. She went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 28, 2022, at home with her loving children by her side. She Graduated from Menahga High School in 1967, Nursing Assistant completed October 25, 1979 and Dental Assistant School completed on June 26, 1981. She worked in Park Rapids for 5 years after that. She then furthered her education and went to NDSCS from 1986-1989 in Wahpeton, North Dakota, where she received her Dental Hygienist License. She was on the Presidents Honor Roll and awarded an outstanding Scholastic Achievement. She then worked 21 years at Peterson and Barrymore Dental office in ST. Cloud, MN. In 1996 she certified in Local Anesthesia and in 1997 she certified in Nitrous Oxide Inhalant Analgesia. She is survived by her son, Charles Odland (Terri), and daughter, April Plantenberg (Jared), 3 Sisters, Helen Kimball (Ronald), Dorothy Walkama, and Bernice Kangas (Jim), 2 Brothers, Rueben Patson (Sue), Ernest Patson (Leatha) 3 grandchildren, Jesse, Jaden and Johnathon, 6 great-grandchildren, Elijah, Kia, Stephanie, Daisy, Sparrow and Carlos. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister and 2 granddaughters. The Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church in Menahga Minnesota at 11:00 AM, with Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Speaker Rick Salmela will be officiating. There will be congregational singing. Pallbearers will be Lindy Odland, Rueben Patson, Amy Ross, Jeremy Walkama, Chris Walkama and Mike Kimball. Honorary Pallbearers are Charles and Terri Odland, April, Jared, Jaden and Johnathan Plantenberg. Interment will be at Menahga City Cemetery.
