Elaine Ruth Hollerud

Elaine Ruth Hollerud died May 27th 2019 at her home in Menahga MN. Elaine was born on September 8, 1950 to Fred and Ruth (Cafourek) Luksik in Austin, MN. She was baptized on January 27, 1951 at Triendjhem Lutheran Church in Myrtle, MN. Affirmation of confirmation 1979 First Lutheran Church Waseca, MN. Elaine was united in marriage to Roger Hollerud on February 16th 1974 Our Saviors Lutheran Church Lyle, MN. Elaine worked as a bookkeeper at First National Bank of Austin, MN for several years and bookkeeper at various other locations and most recent as a bookkeeper at Northwoods Bank in Park Rapids, MN. Elaine was Involved in many community organizations throughout the years from being a Campfire Leader in Wells, MN to Secretary of Gateway Lions and Zone Chairman for 5M9 Lions. She enjoyed cooking, crochetting, playing cards, entertaining friends, relaxing at the lake, visits with her children and grandchildren and dancing in the kitchen with Roger. Elaine is survived  by her husband Roger Hollerud of Menahga, three daughters Shawn Johnson (husband Scott) of Knoxville, TN Grand Kids Owen, Megan, and Aidan; Kris Hollerud (Mike Yanak) of Las Vegas, NV Grand Kids Linnea and Aaron; Jodi Hollerud (Mike Anderson) St Louis Park, MN Brothers Rodger (wife Judy) of Albert Lea, MN; Norman (wife Dianne) of Menahga, MN; Sister-In-Law Lois Hollerud of Woodbury, MN; Sharon Hollerud of Austin, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Donald. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 31, 2019 at First English Lutheran Church in Menahga, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Church. Urnbearers will be her brothers Rodger Luksik and Norman Luksik. Honorary Urnbearers will be the Gateway Lions Menahga, MN. Inurnment will be at a later date.
