Deanna Krupke

DeAnna Marie (Tappe) Krupke, age 69 passed away due to many health issues the morning of December 15th, 2023, at Fair Oakes Nursing Home. DeAnna Marie was born, July 11th, 1954, in Wadena, Minnesota, the 1st daughter of Edgar and Mary (Sidenkrantz) Tappe. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Sebeka, MN. She grew up on the farm with her parents and 11 siblings. She attended country school until the 6th grade and then transferred to Sebeka Public School where she graduated in 1972. After high school graduation she attended Fergus Falls Community College and Bemidji State College until 1976. She was married to Dennis Krupke on August 27th, 1977, and they had 3 children. DeAnna worked various jobs starting with the Sebeka Cheese Factory and as a farm hand milking cows. She eventually found her calling as a healthcare worker as a CNA, TMA, and eventually LPN at nursing homes and rehab centers in the Wadena area. DeAnna retired in 2019 and spent her time growing flowers and vegetables with her grandchildren. In 2021, she had a stroke and was admitted to Fair Oaks Nursing Home until her death. DeAnna will be remembered for her warm smile and humor by her family and friends. DeAnna is survived by her children Ryan Krupke, Tia Freitag and Danis (Jed) Butler, Grandchildren: Michael and Joshua Freitag, Tater, Samara and Hailee Butler; Siblings: Burton (Sylvia) Tappe, Robert, Fargo, ND; Gerald (Bonnie), Warroad, MN; DeLilah, Fargo, ND; DeOla, Sebeka, MN; DeLora, Farmington, MA and DeLynda, Fargo, ND. DeAnna is also survived by her nieces, nephews and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Roger and Ronald; sisters Debra and DeElla. It was DeAnna’s wish to be cremated. A Memorial / Celebration of DeAnna’s life will be held 4-7 PM Friday, December 22, 2023 at Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka, MN.
