Benjamin Wesley Olson, age 62 of Sebeka, Minnesota died on October 18, 2020 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota with his wife by his side. Ben was born on April 11, 1958 to Gerald and Janette (Tomperi) Olson at Wesley Hospital in Wadena. On September 3, 1988 he was united in marriage to Kathy at the Assumption of Our Lady Catholic church in Menahga. Ben was employed at Schumaker’s Tree Farm; he worked as a sandblaster and painter with Abhe & Svoboda around the country from the east to west including Spain, to California, and north to Alaska; a short time as a sandblaster and painter in Antarctica; and with Odland Protective Services; he then started working with his dad in 1983 and eventually became the owner of Olson Trucking in 1993. To us he was an unconditional loving man who adored and cherished his family and friends, a dedicated and hard working man who loved to play in the dirt, and had a witty sense of humor and the gift of some crazy one liners, with an unending smile on his face. We will miss him immensely. Ben is preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Janette, infant brother Michael, grandparents as well as other family members. He is survived by his wife Kathy of 32 years; children: Crystal (John), Tessa, and Mack; grandchildren: Damien, Adam, Natasha, Hailye, Ethan, Amanda and Justin; great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Alivia, Trevor and Audrey; father- and mother-in-law Richard and Mary Babler; siblings: Geraldine (Sam), Brad (Inez), Randy (Deb), Bruce, Pete (Amy), Lynn, Rhonda (Tom), Lisa and Heidi, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
