Alice Anderson of Wolf Lake passed away December 13, 2017 at Rose Haven Assisted Living Facility in Menahga MN. She was born to Erick and Annie (Kummala) Maninga on January 1, 1935 in Runeberg Township. Alice graduated in 1953 from Menahga High School. She married Glenn H. Anderson on December 18th, 1954. They had 3 children, Penny, Brian and Dale. They farmed for a while and then moved to Babbit, MN and later moved back to the Wolf Lake area where she lived the rest of her years. She worked at the Wolf Lake Coop for many years. She then worked various jobs including The Village of the Smokey Hills and Lorelies Candles. Alice enjoyed baseball games and was the Treasurer for many years for the Wolf Lake Wolf Pack and also was inducted into the Wolf Lake Baseball Hall of Fame on July 3, 1993.Alice enjoyed being outside working in her flower gardens, playing cards, puzzles, and cooking for her grandchildren, especially their favorite of hers, Cream of Wheat. She also enjoyed attending all their activities.Alice will be sadly missed by her daughter, Penny (Larry) Ollila, 2 sons, Dale (Chris) and Brian (Janet) and her 6 grandchildren, Nic (Kayla) Ollila, Connon (Jena) Ollila, Mindy (Brian) Retz, Wade (Shanda) Anderson, Angie (Andrew) Martin, and Gina (Scott) Ahlf, and her 13 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Irene (Clifford) Koskela, 1 brother, Eino Maninga, 5 sisters-in-law, Barbara Maninga, Judy Maninga, Marija Maninga, Marlene Anderson and Lillian Erickson, and many Nieces and Nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 8 brothers, Walter, Benjamin, Eddie, Elmer, Isaac, Wilfred and 2 infants and 1 sister, Mayme Kumara.Visitation will be held 5-7 PM Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church in Wolf Lake, MN and continue one hour prior to the service at the Church.Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church in Wolf Lake, MN. Interment will be at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery.
