Agnes Eleanore Lindroos 95, of Menahga, MN formerly of Coon Rapids, MN died Thursday, April 5, 2018 at CHI St Joseph Health in Park Rapids, MN.Agnes was born to Gust and Henna (Wirkkala) Kumpula on October 29, 1922 in Red Eye Township. She was the 7th of 9 children. She attended school at Wadena County rural schools and Sebeka High School. On April 18, 1942 she married Alle Lindroos. After spending time in Palm Springs, CA they settled in the Minneapolis area living in four different homes. In 2000, they moved to Menahga and lived in Woodside Manor until Agnes’ death. Agnes retired from JC Penney in Minneapolis after 30 years. She held several positions including sales, Department Manager, sales audit and personnel. When computers were introduced, Agnes was selected to enter the entire store’s inventory data into the systems. She retired a “computer specialist.” Agnes was active volunteering with her church senior group, church circles, the Menahga Museum and Green Pine Acres. Her hobbies included embroidering, painting, garage sales and finding great bargains. Agnes is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Lila Spinelli, Linda VonVett, Edna Keranen and brothers, Swante, Melvin, Edwin, Richard and Basil Kumpula. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at First English Lutheran Church in Menahga, MN and continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at First English Lutheran Church in Menahga. Interment will be at Menahga City Cemetery.
