Trevor Clifford Harvala age 44, of Menahga, MN died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Innovis Health in Fargo, ND. Trevor was born to Arnold and Shirley (Salmela) Harvala on July 16, 1966 in Wadena, MN. He graduated in from Sebeka High School in 1984. He then attended Alexandria Technical Collage he completed the course in computer programming in 1986 and began his career as a Computer Analyst working for many companies in this capacity including Electronic Data, Best Buy, Travelers Express, Fingerhut, Nash Finch, Man Power Temporary Service and Itram when the loss of his sight caused an early retirement. Trevor was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Sebeka, MN. He was an avid sportsman, he enjoyed watching the Vikings and Twins games, hunting, fishing, playing pool, darts, horseshoe, he was competitive in tennis, and he was an avid reader and a wizard with a Rubik’s Cube. He loved spending time with family and friends and took great pleasure in helping people. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Trevor is survived by his mother Shirley Harvala of Sebeka; three brothers, Terry Harvala and his wife DeeAnn of Waseca, MN; Ty Harvala and his wife Patti of Jamestown, ND; Todd Harvala and his wife Julia of Liberty, Missouri; one niece Cortney, four nephews, Justin, Jake, Cameron and Noah other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Arnold Harvala, two brothers, Ted and infant Tommy. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka and one hour prior to the service at the Church. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Sebeka, MN with Pastor Ben Carlsen officiating. Vicki Paurus will serve as organist. Melissa Koch will solo “Awesome God” and “You Raised Me Up.” Congregational hymns are “Here I am Lord,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace.” Honorary Pallbearers are Jake Harvala, Cortney Kitzman and Cameron Kitzman. Active Casketbearers are Loyel Salmela, Don Salmela, Lee Harvala, Andrew Harvala, Justin Harvala and Mark Schoon. Interment will be at Pickerel Lake Cemetery.
