Nora Dorothy Linden age 94 of Sebeka, MN passed away Monday, July 5, 2010 at Oak Crossing Living Community and Transitional Care in Detroit Lakes, MN. Nora was born to George and Elizabeth (Lee) Tracy on January 23, 1916 in Kremlin, Montana. Her parents then moved to the Morton, MN area where they lived on several different farms in the area. Nora attended school in Danube country school near Morton, and then transferred to a school in Aldrich, MN. After she completed eighth grade she stayed with her grandmother and helped her out for two years and then went to work in Minneapolis-St. Paul doing sewing and housekeeping. Arthur, her husband to be was working in Hudson, Wisconsin and Nora took a job there doing housework and childcare. She married Arthur Linden in Hudson, on September 17, 1938. They moved to Farmington, MN soon after their marriage and were there for two years before moving to the farm near Sebeka in 1940. They had started their family in Farmington with the birth of a daughter in 1939 and had four more children after moving to the farm. In 1991 they moved into Sebeka and Nora lived there until she moved to Detroit Lakes, MN in December 2009. Nora was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sebeka and the Rockwood Ladies Advance League. Nora is survived by daughters: Judith Ann (Linden) Names of Sebeka, MN; Jeanette Marie (Linden) Mattfeld (Don) of Perham, MN; sons, Gerald Lee Linden of Two Harbors, MN; Bruce Arthur Linden (Janis) of Pottsville, Arkansas; son in-law Waino Wierimaa of Sebeka, MN; 15 Grandchildren, and 23 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur Linden, daughter Joyce Wierimaa and daughter-in-law Dorothy Linden, sisters, Helen Mary Zartwell (Orville) and Marian Evelyn Tracy, brother; George Lee Tracy, 2 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Friday, July 9, 2010 at Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka and one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM July 10, 2010 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sebeka with Pastor Ben Carlsen officiating. Laura Bounds will serve as organist. Congregational hymns include “Nearer My God to Thee,” “When Peace like a River,” “In the Garden,” and “How Great Thou Art.” Interment will be next to her husband Arthur Linden in Sebeka West Cemetery.
