Joyce Annette Wierimaa age 59 of Sebeka, MN died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at CentraCare Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. Joyce was born to Arthur and Nora (Tracy) Linden at Wesley Hospital in Wadena, MN on October 28, 1950. Joyce attended Sebeka Public School and graduated in 1968. On July 5, 1969, she married Waino Wierimaa and continued to live in the Sebeka area her entire life. Prior to her marriage, she began working at the Sebeka Review news paper office and worked there for the past 41 years. Joyce was a member of Bethany Free Lutheran Church of Bluegrass, MN and enjoyed singing there and also in the Northern Lights Chorale which was truly a joy to her. Her grandchildren were a very important part of her life and she treasured spending time with them. Some of her greatest memories were traveling and spending time with her husband, enjoying the outdoors and visiting with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Art Linden; granddaughter Tori Irish; and sister-in-law Dorothy Linden. Surviving are her mother Nora Linden of Detroit Lakes, MN; husband Waino; sons, Aaron (Sarah) and Nathan all of Sebeka; a daughter Laura (Darwin) Irish of Frazee, MN; grandchildren, Jessica, Caleb and Callie; step grandchildren, LaDell, Dakota and Austin; brothers Gerald Linden of Two Harbors, MN and Bruce (Janis) Linden of Pottsville, Arkansas: sisters Judy Names of Sebeka; and Jeanette (Don) Mattfeld of Perham, MN and numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at the Sebeka United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeremy Vance officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka and one hour prior to the service at the church. Laura Bounds will serve as organist. Special music will be provided by soloist Sarah Vance singing “This World is not My Home” and “He Giveth More Grace” and The Northern Lights Chorale singing “Inscription of Hope.” Congregational hymns are “Does Jesus Care” and “Because He Lives.” Honorary Pallbearers are the Staff at the Review Messenger. Active Casketbearers will be Larry Komppa, Larry Huotari, Larry Wanous, Scott Wanous, Sandy Wanous and Darwin Irish Interment will be at Meadow Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery.
