June Elizabeth Mursu age 85, of Detroit Lakes, MN formerly of the Wolf Lake area died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes. June was born to Charles and Bertha (Thomas) Baumgart on June 29, 1924 in Becker County, MN where she was raised and attended school. She was united in marriage to Eino Walter Mursu on January 5, 1943. Eino and June farmed in the Wolf Lake area where June was a homemaker her entire life. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Wolf Lake. June is survived by her two daughters Shelly Janu and her husband Kurt of Detroit Lakes, MN; Stacy Strehlow and her fiancé Kevin of Frazee, MN; Sister-in-law Sadie Mursu of Paramount, California; two grandchildren Steven Strehlow of Frazee, MN; and Robin Strehlow of Frazee, MN; a great grandchild that will be born in April and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Eino Mursu, son Darius Mursu, son-in-law Jeff Strehlow, great grandchild Tristan Strehlow and nine brothers and sisters. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Christ Lutheran Church in Wolf Lake, MN and one hour prior to the service at the Church. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Christ Lutheran Church in Wolf Lake with Pastor John Ramsbacher officiating. Paul Ramsay will serve as organist. Congregational hymns will be “Just As I am, without one Plea,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “I Know that My Redeemer Lives.” Casketbearers will be family and friends. Interment will be at the Spruce Grove Union Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Wevley Funeral Home.
