Obituary for Darlene Fair Beloved wife, mother and friend Darlene Leona Fair, age 76, formerly of Sebeka, MN, left this world to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 19th at Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. Darlene was born November 11, 1940 to the late Leona and John Jenson. She married John Fair in September of 1964, and once John finished seminary, they began a life of ministry together, serving United Methodist churches in Chokio, Pepperton, Clotho, Long Prairie, Grey Eagle, Wadena, Detroit Lakes and Marshall MN. She also served as a Parish Worker at the Park Rapids United Methodist Church. Darlene was active in her churches and communities, serving in United Methodist Women, Lay Speaker Training, and youth ministries, and was an active member of the Sebeka United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting, gardening and reading. She loved animals, traveling, and being with family and friends. One of her many gifts was hospitality, which she used to bless others by welcoming them into her home. She was a wise, kind, self-sacrificing, thoughtful, empathetic and hardworking woman with a wonderful sense of humor. Darlene is survived by her husband John as well as her two daughters – Jodie (Mark) Bunish, of Circle Pines, and Maribeth (Steven) Fair-Pingree, of Zumbro Falls; granddaughters Laura and Alyssa Bunish, as well as nephews and nieces and their families. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, DeWayne Jenson. Visitation will be Thursday, March 23rd from 4-8 at Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka. The funeral will be Friday, March 24th at 11:00 at the Sebeka United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
