James Warren Bower

James Warren Bower, age 60, of Dent, Minnesota died Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. James was born to Ellis and Sylvia Bower on September 22, 1956, in Blueberry Township, Wadena County, Minnesota. Jim graduated from Menahga High School in 1974 and spent 24 years working for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources in Cloquet and Itasca State Park. Jim loved hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and baseball. Jim is fondly remembered for his kind heart and innate ability to remember and tell jokes for hours. Jim is survived by his loving wife Dorothy Bower of Dent, MN. Daughter Angela Bower (Williamson) of Rochester, MN and son Jared Bower, of Barnum, MN. Grandchildren Jasmin Sevillega of Cloquet, Deja Hink and Aleah Hink of Rochester, MN and great granddaughter Justice Sevillega of Cloquet. Jim is also survived by his two brothers, Ellis Bower and wife Sheila and David Bower and wife Janette, both of Menahga. Two sisters, Julie Neis of Nevis and Marsha Christofferson of Park Rapids. Jim is preceded in death by his infant son James Jr., his parents Ellis and Sylvia Bower, infant brother Sonny Bower of Menahga, his sister Jean Iacobacci of Montreal, Canada and his brother Gary Bower of Park Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at First English Lutheran Church located at 17 Main St NW, Menahga. Interment will immediately follow the service, with coffee at the church following the interment. The viewing will be Friday, March 10, from 5 to 7 pm.
