Duane Alvin Johnson was born to Alvin and Betty (Dahlvang)) Johnson on September 22, 1959 at Wesley Hospital in Wadena, MN. He passed away at his home in Lyons Township on Sunday, October 30th, 2016. Growing up Duane attended Sebeka Public School graduating with the class of 1978. He worked at the Sebeka cheese plant for several years being a licensed cheesemaker. Duane was a sawyer and a trucker, as well as having many other trades. Duane enjoyed the outdoors. He loved making projects from the wood that he sawed. He loved riding his Harleys, hunting, fishing, gardening and music. He enjoyed being with family and friends especially his children (Jake, Hattie and John) and grandchildren (Chloe and Sophia). Duane and Kaitie enjoyed riding motorcycles together on several small trips, and making two larger trips to Sturgis, including the 75th anniversary celebration. Daune is survived by his mother, Betty Johnson, his long time companion Kaitie Saulter, two brothers, LaVern (Connie) Johnson of Sebeka; Kevin (Melaine) Johnson of Sebeka, three children; Jake Johnson of Wadena; Hattie Johnson (Jim) of Hawley; John Johnson of Wadena; two grandchildren, Chloe and Sophia, three nephews, Chancey, Cayden, and Evan Johnson; and one niece Willow Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father Alvin Johnson and brother Michael Johnson. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Thursday, November 3rd at the Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka and one hour prior to the service on Friday at Oylen Alliance Tabernacle. Funeral Services will be held on Friday November 4th, 2016 at 1pm at Oylen Alliance Tabernacle, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at West Lyons Cemetery.
