MaryAnn Rose (Safratowich) Torma of Menahga, MN entered into eternal life after a short battle with cancer at home with her family on April 14, 2016 at the age of 74. MaryAnn was born December 20, 1941 in Park Rapids, the sixth child of Frank and Tillie (Paluch) Safratowich. She attended and graduated from Park Rapids area school. After high school MaryAnn was united in marriage to Ronald Torma on May 26, 1962. This union was blessed with six children: Ronald Jr., Shari, Frank, Keith, Kristina, and William. She enjoyed caring for her family while spending time watching the Minnesota Vikings and Twins. MaryAnn loved canning, cooking and making her famous three corners at Christmas. MaryAnn worked at various places in Park Rapids and Menahga including Debbie’s Pizza, Chucks Country Foods and Snyder Drug to name a few. She especially enjoyed working where she could assist others. After retirement MaryAnn enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino. Grateful for having shared in MaryAnn’s life are her husband Ronald of 54 years and their children: Ronald Torma Jr. (Butch) of Menahga, Shari (Daryl) Croskrey of Park Rapids, Frank (Rachelle Kern) Torma, Keith (Jlayne) Torma all of Menahga, Kristy (Bill) Blanchard of Andover and William Torma (Billy) of Menahga, three sisters, Mildred Seney of Woodland, CA, Francis Staffenhagen of Park Rapids, MN, Patricia (Ed) Becker of Brainerd, MN, one brother Benjamin (Pat) of Xenia, OH., twelve grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Victor, Joe, Rick and John and one grandchild Scotty (infant son of Shari and Daryl). Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Tuesday, April 19, 2016 and one hour prior to the service at First English Lutheran Church of Menahga, MN. Funeral Services will be held 1 PM on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at First English Lutheran Church of Menahga, MN with Pastor Steven Bruer officiating
