Hilma Arlene Jampsa age 80 of St. Paul, MN died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at her home. Hilma was born to Orin and Elina (Koskela) Jacobson on May 22, 1935 in Green Valley Township, Becker County, MN. She started her education in country school and later attended Park Rapids High School where she graduated in 1955. She advanced her education at St. Mary’s College in Minneapolis where she obtained her Registered Nursing License. She began her life time career as a nurse, working in various Nursing Homes in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. Hilma retired in 2000 and remained the Minneapolis and St. Paul area until her death. Hilma is survived by her daughter, Dawn Smith of St. Paul, MN; her son, Paul Jampsa of St. Paul, MN; her sister, Claire Tinguist and her husband, Maynard of Grand Rapids, MN; her brother, Morris Jacobson and his wife Roberta of Fort Worth, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Joel Jampsa, two brothers and three sisters. Memorial Services, will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church in Wolf Lake, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor John Ramsbacher will officiate. Paul Ramsay will serve as organist. Honorary Pallbearers are all who called her friend.
