Joseph Ole Kasper, age 75, of Sebeka died Monday, February 29, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St Cloud, MN. Joseph was born to Albert B. and Alice O. (Haugen) Kasper in Adams County, North Dakota on April 12, 1940. He grew up in the Thunder Hawk /Lemmon, South Dakota area. Upon graduating from Beach, North Dakota, Joseph enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. He proudly served during the Vietnam Era and continuing for 22 years, he received many decorations and retired as Master Gunnery Sergeant E8. Joseph is survived by 3 brothers, Alfred, Jack, Steve, and a sister, Adeline Avelsgard Griffith, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Alice Kasper, grandparents, Joseph F. Kasparek, Anna Scholtz Kasparek, Ole Haugen, Anna Tangen Haugan and 4 sisters, Annebell Kasper, Lillian Zink, Alice May Hallet and Mabel Kotek and 3 nieces. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service. VFW Post# 3922 of Wadena, MN will provide Military Honors. Interment will be in the VA section of the Menahga City Cemetery.
