Delores Mae Bimberg, age 77 of Sebeka passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 in Dothan, AL. She was born January 5, 1939 in Wadena, MN, a resident of Sebeka, but grew up in Menahga. Delores made a career as a secretary at Sebeka Public Schools. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Sebeka, Finnish Historical Society, American Legion and VFW Auxiliary. Ms. Bimberg's favorite things to do were sending cards to friends and family, talking about her childhood days growing up on a farm, attending Finnish Historical Society events around the country, summer time music at Spirit Lake, Menahga Senior Citizens Center, VFW buck burger night, The Cottage House, Democratic Conventions, Hee Haw Show, The Grand 'Ole Opry, Gaither Gospel Hour, watching baseball on TV, The Lake and Pine league, taking saunas and she loved her sweets as much as she loved her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; Walter Henry Bimberg and Ida Hilda (Niemela) Bimberg and brother; Baby Boy Bimberg. Ms. Bimberg is survived by her son; Brian (Pam) Bimberg of Marianna, FL, two brothers; Marvin (Linda) Bimberg of Wayzata, MN, Cifford (Karen) Bimberg of Detroit Lakes, MN, two sisters; Marlene (Roger) Anderson of Lakefield, MN, Andrea (David) Hepola Duluth, MN, one special friend; Edwin Lund of Menahga, MN, five grandchildren, two granddogs, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Ms. Bimberg will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church in Sebeka with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Mark Hesse will be officiating. Organist; will be Diane Crabb. Honorary Casketbearers include Todd Bimberg, Jeremy Bimberg, Dean Anderson, Dan Anderson, Ron Schultz and Jeff Schreier. Interment will be at Menahga City Cemetery and luncheon to follow at Grace Lutheran Church.
