Laura Elizabeth Haverinen

Laura Elizabeth Haverinen, 95, of Menahga, MN died Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at her son’s home in Menahga, MN. Laura was born to Lloyd and Grace (Spencer) Ward on June 15, 1920 in Manchester, South Dakota. Laura farmed her entire life never retiring. She was a member of Assumption of Our Lady Catholic Church in Menahga. Laura is survived by her daughter, Mary Klier of Rapid City, South Dakota; her son Frank Mathiew JR and his wife Barbara of Menahga; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Frank Mathiew SR and Walter Haverinen; one sister and two brothers, and one great grandson. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM, at Assumption of Our Lady Catholic Church in Menahga with Father Arlie Sowada officiating. Visitation will be Monday, July 6, 2015, from 5-8 PM at Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka, with prayer service at 7:00 PM. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Clear Lake, South Dakota.
