Florence Fanny Lillquist

Florence Fanny Lillquist, age 95, of Sebeka, MN died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga. Florence was born to Andrew Nestor and Olga (Anderson Roiko on April 14, 1920 in Sebeka, MN where she was raised and attended school. On October 28, 1941 Florence was united in marriage to Arvid Lillquist. While Arvid was in the Military Service, Florence worked at Ford Motor Company in St. Paul, MN from 1942- 1944. They returned to Sebeka, Florence helped Arvid in his business doing sales and bookkeeping. She was an excellent cook and avid gardener. Florence is survived by sisters-in-law Lempi Roiko of Menahga, MN Donna Roiko of Sebeka and Elsie Lillquist of Sebeka; nieces and nephews, friends and brothers and sisters in faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arvid, sisters, Mayme Juntunen, Elma Isaackson, Ellen Rousu, and Alice Myllykangas, brothers Reino, August, Andrew, Henry, Arve and Walter Roiko. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka, MN. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church in Sebeka, MN with Pastor Mark Hesse officiating. Sara Crabb Erickson will serve as organist. Active Casketbearers include Douglas Roiko, Ron Rousu, Bill Roiko, Darwin Lillquist, Sheldon Lillquist, and Harold Lillquist. Interment will be next to her husband in Red Eye Cemetery.
