Regina Carolyn Polman

Regina Carolyn (Molmen) Polman, 87, passed away in her home on May 29, 2015 Regina was born November 3, 1927, to Emil and Ruth (Peterson) Molmen of Blue Grass. She graduated in 1945 from Sebeka High School. After graduation, she moved to Minneapolis and worked for Northwestern Bell. She also worked for the VA hospital while she was in Minneapolis. February 1, 1947, she married Claire Polman, and they made their home in Sebeka. For the next 68 years, she devoted herself to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, which brought great joy into her life. She rarely missed a concert or program that any of the kids were involved in. Claire and Regina owned Polman Dairy of Sebeka. Regina helped with the milk deliveries as well as holding a variety of other jobs around Sebeka. Claire and Regina enjoyed traveling together and had visited 48 states. For many years, they were snowbirds in Gulf Shores, Alabama and Rockport, Texas. They loved dancing, country music, and card parties. Regina was active in a variety of organizations. She was a life-member of the Berg-Nylund Post 456 Auxiliary where she served as president for many years. She was also a member of the Assumption of Our Lady's Christian Mothers group. Regina loved bowling and was a member of a league for many years. In her later years, she devoted herself to caring for her husband, going to the casino (when she could), reading, and caring for her flowers and the birds. She is survived by her loving husband Claire, and her 4 daughters; Sharon (Mike) Heino, Sheila (Ellis) Bower, Sheree Polman, Sheryl (Dan) Polman Biittner: her 9 grandchildren; Michael (Molly) Heino, Heidi (Eric) Heino Nelson, Raina (Josh) Connor, Reggie (Laura) Kiser, Ronnie (Chris) Lee, Roxie (Quentin) Ness, Rusty (Lindsay) Kiser, Brandon Polman-Biittner, Kyle Polman-Biittner and 21 great-grandchildren. Regina was preceded in death by her daughter Shelly Mae, her parents, and her brothers Marlin and Doug. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM, at Assumption of Our Lady Catholic Church in Menahga. Visitation will be Monday, June 1, 2015, from 5-8 PM at Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka, with prayer service at 7:30 PM. Interment will be at St. Frederick Catholic Cemetery in Verndale, MN.
