Evelyn Lucille Milbradt

Evelyn Lucille Tappe Milbradt age 83, died peacefully in her sleep on March 6, 2015. Evelyn was born on March 2, 1932, to Albert Sr. and Martha Kaddel Tappe. She was the first of three children. She attended District 48 school and was baptized, confirmed and attended North Germany Church Sebeka. She was united in marriage to Harold Henry Milbradt on September 22, 1951. They lived on the Albert Tappe Sr Place then later moved to a nearby farm until they purchased the homestead of the late Henry Milbradt farm and raised 7 children. Besides being a homemaker, Evelyn was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church North Germany; she taught Sunday school and was a member of the church ladies aid. She was also involved in Jolly Homemakers, 4H club and 40 years in the American Legion Auxiliary in Sebeka; she also did babysitting way back. She was an excellent cook and made many delicious breads, cakes and bars. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, and made numerous lap robes and slippers for the Veterans. She loved sewing, canning, flower gardening and watching the birds. She had a circle of close friends with whom she enjoyed shopping, exercising, eating out and making sure to squeeze in a MooLatte for a treat. She did crossword, reading and loved it when friends/family and her grandkids came to visit. She had an unconditional love for her family, kids, grandkids, great grand kids, nieces and nephews, with never a complaint and always giving to those who needed. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert Sr. and Martha Tappe sister Della Tappe; brother Albert Tappe Jr. and one infant child Kenneth Lee Milbradt, one Son in law Ralph Bruininga and one Daughter in law Sheila Milbradt. Evelyn is survived by her husband Harold Milbradt and 7 children; Keith (Diane) Milbradt family of Wadena, Vickie (Ralph) Bruininga family of Wadena, Allen (Jenny) Milbradt family of Dilworth, Kurt (Sheila) Milbradt family of Hazen, ND, Kevin Milbradt Family of Nimrod, Terry Milbradt family of Sebeka and DeeVon (Gust) Schoon family of Menahga. Her 18 grandkids, 12 great grand kids, nieces, nephews and cousins. God beckoned mom to come, so she took his hand and stepped into Eternity. "In this world we will have troubles. But God has this for us: He will wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying nor pain, all of that is gone forever." Revelation 21:4  Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka, MN and with Prayer Service at 4:30 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church in Sebeka, MN with Pastor Raymond Hendrickson officiating. Inurnment will be at the Zion Cemetery at a later date.
