Joni Mae Poland

Joni Mae Schmidt Poland, 59, of Sebeka, Minnesota died on September 22, 2014 at her home. Joni graduated from Wadena High School in 1973. She married John Poland in 1999. She was very active in church. Joni’s heart was full of love for her husband John, her “kids” and her Hillview home, welcoming all who came to her door. Joni was preceded in death by her father Paul V. Schmidt; mother Emma Mae Boedigheimer; step-dad Don Boedigheimer and sister Dawn Reeves. She is survived by her husband John; daughter Jessica (Jeremy) McClellan; grandchildren Jeffrey, Jinnevra and Jonathan; sister Dianne Johnson, Burnsville; brother Jim Schmidt (Carmen), Champlin; Mark Schmidt (Melit), Minneapolis; and several nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 30 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Sebeka. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be held at Hillview Cemetery at a later date.
