Lucinda (Cyndi) Charlene (Tate Huotari ) Hagen

Lucinda (Cyndi) Charlene (Tate, Huotari) Hagen, age 67, died on Saturday September 13, 2014 at the Heritage Cottages in Park Rapids. Cyndi was born December 8, 1946 to Frederick and Charlotte (Cassel) Tate in Winona, MN, where she attended Winona School until 1959. In 1959 the Tate family moved to Frazee where Cyndi attended high school until graduating in 1964. Cyndi then attended Wadena Vo-tech for Business Training, graduating in 1965. While going to school in Wadena, Cyndi worked part time at a cafe. A handsome Finlander, kept coming in to the cafe and picking on her. Arlo and Cyndi married in 1966. Cyndi worked at First National Bank in Wadena for the first few years of their marriage. In 1967 Joy was born. In 1970, Lindy was born, and Cyndi decided to stay home and raise their children. In 1972, Justin was born, completing their family. When all their children were in high school, Cyndi worked for a few years during tax season at H&R Block in Wadena. Arlo and Cyndi had many good years together until Arlo passed away in 2002. Then Cyndi decided to take square dancing lessons to help keep her self busy. Cyndi square danced herself right into Dennis Hagen's heart. In 2004 Dennis and Cyndi were married. They had some good years together until dementia took Cyndi's ability to function normally. Cyndi spent her last few years in the Heritage Cottages in Park Rapids. Cyndi is survived by her husband Dennis Hagen, two daughters, Joy Jarvi and her husband Dan of Sebeka, MN; Lindy Scanlon and her husband Jerry of Hudson, WI; one son, Justin Huotari and his wife Heather of Sebeka, MN; two sisters, Marie Parvi and her husband Marvin of Bella Vista, AR; Kathie Huwe and her husband Dennis of Menahga, MN; two brothers, Hank Tate of Menahga, MN; Chuck Tate and his wife Vicki of Frazee, MN; ten grandchildren, Raegan Jarvi, Anton Jarvi, Zane Berg, Lillian Scanlon, Jacob Huotari, Isaac Huotari, Nicole Crider, Alison Huotari, Mollie Crider, and Rylee Crider. Cyndi is preceded in death by her husband Arlo Huotari and her Parents Fred and Chy Tate. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Friday, September 19, 2014 at Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka, MN with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM. Memorial Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church Sebeka, MN with Pastor Mark Hesse officiating. Diane Crabb will serve as organist. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren Private inurnment will be at Red Eye Cemetery.
