Delores was born to August and Lempi (Carlson) Lalli on May 2, 1930 in Blueberry Township. She attended Menahga Schools graduating in 1948. She attended Abbott School of Nursing and graduated as a registered nurse in 1951. On March 26, 1951 she was united in marriage to Russell Pederson of Menahga. Her family moved from Mounds View, MN to the lake home on lower Twin Lakes near Menahga in 1979. She was an avid gardener, painter, woodworker, birder, and enjoyed berry picking. Her greatest love was fishing, especially with her grandchildren. Open water or on the ice she mentored and competed with her hook and line. Delores and Russell were founding members of Blueberry Pines Golf Course. Delores was elected Blueberry Township Treasurer in 1985, the third generation “Lalli” to serve the position, retired in 2006 after 21 years of service. She enjoyed her many Twin Lake, neighbors and area friends and relatives. Her last four years as a residence at Rose Haven were a blessing.
