Clifford Clarence Stenbro age 83 of Bluegrass, MN died Friday, June 28 at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena. Clifford was born to Lawrence and Ida C. (Hogenson) Stenbro on August 8, 1929 in Cooperstown, North Dakota where he was raised on the family farm. Cliff enlisted in the Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service he married Gail Fradenburgh and had a family. He worked as a control room operator at John Day Dam in The Dalles, OR and retired in 1987 following 30 years with the US Army Corps of Engineers. He and Gail relocated to Bluegrass, MN where he lived until his death. Cliff is survived by his wife Gail, daughters Andrea, Jackee, and Roberta, as well as grandchildren Jason, Kim, Brandon, and Sarah. Memorial Services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Sebeka United Methodist Church in Sebeka, MN with Pastor Steven Koehne officiating. Jayne Koskiniemi will serve as organist. Soloist will be Ray Seibert singing “You Raised Me Up.” Honorary Pallbearers will be all of his grandchildren and James Lura his lifetime friend. Berg Nylund Post 456, Sebeka, MN will provide Military Honors. Private Inurnment will be at a later date.
