Wesley Oscar Ervasti

Wesley O. Ervasti of Sebeka, MN died on January 30, 2013 at Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga, MN. He was born January 8, 1926 to Oscar and Hilja (Grip) Ervasti at their farm in rural Sebeka. Wesley lived on the same farm essentially all of his 87 years. He is survived by brother Marlyn (Ruth) and sister Florence Castillo, sister-in-law Delores Ervasti Lott, many nieces, nephews and sisters and brothers in faith. He was preceded in death by his parents Hilja and Oscar, his brothers Arnold, Arthur and Paul, sisters Eileen Hall, Aune Lee Ouelette, Ellen Niska, Eva, Lila Jaffe and Lempi Ervasti. Athough ranching was Wes' living he had many hobbies, mainly wood from many exotic places in the world and rocks and ceramic tiles. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Menahga Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church in Menahga with visitation two hours prior to the service at the church. Michael Peterson will officiate. Active Casketbearers include Jean Smith, Clarence Kyllonen, James Ervasti, Jason Ervasti, Kevin Jokinen and Robert Ervasti. Interment will be at the Red Eye Cemetery, Red Eye Township, Wadena County, MN.
