Edwin Charles Wierimaa

Edwin Charles Wierimaa age 71 of Sebeka died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena, MN. Edwin suffered an unexpected brain aneurysm at his home in Sebeka on May 2, 2012 he was taken to HCMC in Minneapolis where he stayed four days; he was than transferred to Fair Oaks Lodge. Edwin was born to Charles and Alma (Mattson) Wierimaa on June 15, 1940 in Paddock Township, Ottertail County, MN. He moved with his parents to Rockwood Township in 1945 and continued to live on the family farm with his brother. Edwin loved feeding the birds especially the humming birds. He enjoyed watching all the wild life and flower gardening. He took pleasure in attending flea markets and auctions, repairing old watches, watching T.V. and shopping. Edwin was always friendly, courteous and polite always saying “Thank you very kindly.” He never had a bad word to say to anyone and always was ready led a help in anyway he could. Edwin is survived by his brother Richard Wierimaa of Sebeka; sister Darlene (Ted) Rick of Sebeka and cousins, other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents a baby sister Mary Ann who died in infancy.
