Irene Mildred Jensen age 91, of rural Sebeka, MN died peacefully in her sleep at her home on Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Irene was born November 6, 1920, to Henry and Olga (Eckert) Milbradt in Minneapolis, MN. She was the first of eight children. Irene was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, North Germany Township. She attended school in Sebeka, MN. Irene was united in marriage to Louis Jensen on August 30, 1941, in Sebeka, MN where they farmed. During that time they enjoyed a trip to Europe. After retiring, Irene took many trips with her family. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, reading, sewing and she loved politics and the news. She also loved her church and participated in Ladies Aid and Missionary league, and church activities. Survivors included her sister, Lorraine Kreklau, brothers, Thomas and Harold Milbradt and daughters, Carol and Dr. Michael Anderson, Virginia and Thomas Baehner, Bonnie Jensen, Sandra and Dr. Dale Bohlke, grandchildren, Dr. Christina Anderson (Dr Brett Stolzenberg), Thomas Anderson Esq. (Dr. Jessica Falk), Anthony Anderson (Kelly), Jonathan Anderson (Amanda), Dr. Angela Bohlke, and Elizabeth Bohlke, Great grandchildren, Isaiah Anderson, Isabelle Anderson, Jacob Stolzenberg, Samuel Stolzenberg, Zachary Stolzenberg, Madelyn Anderson, Julia Anderson, and Thomas Anderson, also many nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her parents Olga and Henry Milbradt, her husband Louis, her brother Julius, sisters Audrey, Marian, and Ethel. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church in Sebeka, MN with Pastor Raymond Hendrickson officiating. Lolita Myers will serve as organist. Congregational hymns are “A Mighty Fortress is Our God,” “The Church’s One Foundation,” and “My Hope is Built on Nothing Less.” Honorary Pallbearers are the Members of Zion Lutheran Church. Active Casketbearers are Christina Anderson, Thomas Anderson, Anthony Anderson, Jonathan Anderson, Angela Bohlke, Elizabeth Bohlke, and Brett Stolzenberg. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Staples, MN.
