Audrey Ann Juntunen passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Sanford Health Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota at the age of 76. Audrey was born to August and Ina (Putikka) Juntunen on March 21, 1934 in New York Mills, Minnesota. She attended grade school at Hay Creek Country School and graduated from Sebeka Public High School with the Class of 1952. She worked at the Sebeka Co-op Store for several years. Audrey moved to Minneapolis, MN where she worked in an office as a Key Punch Operator until illness affected her employment. She enjoyed cooking, baking, embroidery and other handwork. She is survived by her brother, Roy Juntunen of Osakis, MN; Edith Mae Huttunen of Wadena, MN; and Marjorie Krohnfeldt and her husband Ellard of Plymouth, MN; Aunts, Esther Putikka and Ann Putikka, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, nephew Brian Juntunen, sister-in-law Laura, uncles, Ralph and Lauri Putikka and brother-in-law Aaro. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church in Sebeka, MN with Pastor Mark Hesse officiating. Mitchell Hesse will serve as pianist. Michaela Hesse will solo “The King of Love My Shepherd Is.” Congregational hymns include “I’m but a Stranger Here,” “I know that My Redeemer Lives” and “Children of the Heavenly Father.” Active Casketbearers will be Gordon Huttunen, Brent Juntunen, Ronald Juntunen and Steven Juntunen. Interment will be at Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Paddock Township, Ottertail County, MN.
